At One Glory, we believe sports are more than just games, they are a powerful tool for building stronger, safer communities. We focus on providing safe and engaging athletic programs for youth, specifically in at-risk areas, to prevent violence and provide positive outlets for young people.
The Safe Summer League was founded in response to a tragic summer when violence claimed too many young lives. With over 15 murders in a single summer, the community needed hope, action, and a change. In partnership with local churches and the support of volunteers, we transformed gyms into safe havens and basketball courts into a place for unity and mentorship.
Through mentorship, teamwork, and discipline, we equip youth with the confidence and life skills they need to become positive leaders in their communities. By providing structured, supportive environments, we offer young people an alternative to violence and a place to thrive both on and off the court.
The Safe Summer League is more than just a series of games, it’s a movement rooted in hope, healing, and the unwavering belief that our youth deserve safe spaces to grow, thrive, and dream bigger.
